Our Theater Performance and Production, Sitcom Writing, and Student Broadcast Workshop classes team up to create APU’s second original situation comedy. For the first time this live, two-night taping will be held on the APU Theater stage and supported by the theater's technical team.

Joe: The Extraordinary Life of an Ordinary Man
By Brian Mercer
Joe follows the life story of an average Christian man as he struggles to determine whether all he has been through has mattered. Described as a “romantic comedy version of the book of Job” or a “Christian Forrest Gump, ” this witty, moving, and thought-provoking play brought audiences to their feet when it premiered in 2003. Back by popular demand, Joe reaches audiences of all ages with its life changing message of the value of the average guy. The Drama Ministry will tour Joe through the Western United States doing more than a hundred performances September 7 through July 8.
