The operator serves as a member of the university’s public relations team, often providing the first impression a constituent has with Azusa Pacific, building awareness and interest, serving as a conduit of important information and messaging, and managing that flow to the public.
Hours of Operation
The following office hours are subject to change in accordance with school holidays, vacation periods, and special events.
Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
All after-hours calls are transferred first to Communiversity, then to Campus Safety, as follows:
Fall and Spring Hours (September 1–April 30)
Monday–Thursday, 5 p.m.-12 a.m.
Friday, 4:30 p.m.-12 a.m.
Monday–Friday, 12-8 a.m.
Summer Hours (May 1–August 31)
Monday–Thursday, 5-8 p.m.
Monday–Friday, 8 p.m.-8 a.m.
To ensure callers receive accurate information and are transferred correctly, notify the communications operator, Sue Brock, at firstname.lastname@example.org or Ext. 3000 about:
- Special events
- Office hours and closures
- Department names
- Extension changes
- Employee departures
