What You Can Do to Prepare

How Students Can Prepare

  • Understand the WASC process and its purpose.
  • If asked, read and provide input on the Educational Effectiveness Review (EER).
  • Understand the goals of our six WASC themes.
  • Assist faculty in collecting evidence that you are receiving services and have learning opportunities that are producing outcomes related to the four themes of the Academic Vision.
  • Read the information (e.g. WASC newsletter, “Did You Know” flyer) that comes to you via APU email about the WASC visit and how APU is meeting the four theme goals related to transformational scholarship, God-honoring diversity, faith integration, and intentional internationalization.
  • Participate in meetings with the WASC reviewers and in the “poster sessions” during the visit on campus October 10–12, 2012.
  • Expect the WASC visitors to talk to you about how you are meeting the university goals and the goals of your program as you complete your studies at APU.
