Psychological Assessment Clinic
Established in 1999, the Psychological Assessment Clinic focuses on providing psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessment services to the communities surrounding Azusa Pacific University. The clinic provides comprehensive, individualized assessment for clients of all ages.
The psychological assessments provided at the CCC range from brief to in-depth, depending on the needs of the client or referring agency. Two clinical faculty members and three staff members who conduct the primary assessments supervise the program. Each battery and report is carefully selected to answer the referral question as well as provide appropriate recommendations for the client to pursue. The following clinical issues are addressed as part of the assessment program.
- ADHD spectrum
- Cognitive abilities
- Coping skills
- Developmental disabilities
- Learning disabilities
- Personality evaluation
- Pervasive developmental delays
- School readiness
- Social skills assessment
With each evaluation, a client interview is conducted to determine the client’s needs and expectations. A battery of tests is then administered to explore the client’s strengths and to identify areas of challenge.
A written report provides recommendations to pursue individually or with a specialist. The report is followed by a feedback session with the testing therapist to answer questions or address concerns. Assessment charges vary from $300-$700 depending on the purpose of testing, and clients are informed of all costs prior to testing.
