Staff
Kim Henny
Administrative Assistant
As administrative assistant for the Offices of Housing Services and Residence
Life, Kim provides friendly service to students, parents, alumni, staff, and
faculty. She maintains office organization between both departments and frequently
works with APU's Business Office implementing purchase orders for Residence
Life programs and payroll processes. In addition, she is responsible for supervising
the departments' office assistants.
Kim has enjoyed serving APU for the last 13 years. When she is not working,
she is most likely relaxing at home with her three children. Kim has an eclectic
taste in music and can be found listening to anything from jazz, reggae, alternative
rock, R&B and yes, even some country. The most enjoyable part of her job
is interacting with APU's amazing students. From time to time, you can find
Kim’s cell phone going off blasting Coldplay and startling her co-workers.
Lanny Cram
Director of Housing Services
As director of the Office of Housing Services, Lanny is responsible for keeping the team moving in the same direction, contributing to the Student Life team, and collaborating with other university offices. Lanny actually came to APU to manage several large construction projects, including the new Trinity Residence Hall. But his background in the YMCA and junior high ministry at Lake Avenue Church has equipped him to move into Student Life to support the living-learning environment for APU’s resident students.
Lanny’s wife Debbie also works at APU. Lanny enjoys cycling, plays bluegrass music, and collects antenna balls. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and his master’s from APU. Before coming to APU, his favorite food was pizza, but he is now on a quest to find the best carne asada taco in Azusa.
Charlie Konoske
Assistant Director of Housing Services
Charlie is responsible for the day-to-day management of all processes to the Office of Housing Services. His duties include purchasing furniture, processing furniture-related work orders and inventory, student check-in and check-out of university housing, key management, damage charges, the housing sign-up process, freshmen assignments, utility information for the living areas, and overseeing the updating of forms for the Office of Housing Services.
Charlie and his wife Brenda reside in San Dimas with their two children, Elliot George and Elizabeth Grace. Charlie and Brenda are both active in discipleship and small groups at Church of the Open Door and work with the college group. Charlie holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from APU and is currently completing a master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Studies. He likes chili dogs, Keith Green, and the Born Again Bluegrass Band; and dislikes mustard, mayonnaise, and twangy Country music voices.
Michelle Luchtenburg
Coordinator for Housing Services
Michelle is responsible for all of the day-to-day coordination of housing processes and services. She provides essential support to the director of housing services and the assistant director of housing services. Michelle works closely with internal contacts such as residence directors, admissions counselors, and the student financial counselors. The working partnerships that she has developed contribute to the overall success of the department.
After graduating from APU in the early 1980’s, Michelle and her family
spent the following twenty-years living in various interesting locations including
Pennsylvania, Illinois, Costa Rica, southern Mexico, and northern California.
She was thrilled to return to APU in 2003. She loves her job, her church, and
especially her three amazing children, two of whom are current APU students.
While supporting her talented children, she stumbled into her favorite hobby
– theater. As all three of her kids perform on various stages, Michelle
is the consummate “drama mama.”
