About the Center
Azusa Pacific University's Community Counseling Center (CCC) provides quality counseling and consulting services at a low cost to the Azusa community and surrounding areas. The mission of the CCC is to help families find harmony between their values and actions as they work through challenges and transition dilemmas. As part of this mission, students of Azusa Pacific University’s clinical and family psychology programs are trained to enhance their counseling skills and become more effective therapists and psychologists.
Vision Statement
Formerly the Child and Family Development Center (CFDC), the Community Counseling Center began in 1989 as an outreach ministry of Azusa Pacific University’s Department of Graduate Psychology with the School of Behavioral and Applied Sciences. Since its inception, the CCC vision has focused on providing state-of-the-art treatment for a full range of problems and disorders. This vision is designed around two premises:
- Providing quality mental health services to local communities
- Training clinical psychology students to become attentive and effective marriage and family therapists or clinical psychologists
