Transportation Services

Transportation Services is responsible for the maintenance of the university’s fleet of buses and vans, as well as for providing daily transportation between the East and West Campuses.

Mission Statement
The mission of Transportation Services is to honor God by providing the APU community and guests with excellent, safe, and professional transportation service, making sure to always be courteous, reliable, responsible, and friendly.

Team Verse
“Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the King.” –1 Peter 2:17

Trolleys and Buses

Transportation Services utilizes four trolleys and one bus to shuttle people between the East and West Campuses from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday. We have newly upgraded sound and PA systems (better for a sing-along). We will now be able to play music while you ride between campuses. Check the Trolley Route/Schedule.

Over the Road Buses

Transportation Services manages two large over-the-road buses. One is a 29-passenger bus with a cargo hold; the second is a new 25-passenger or 21-passenger bus also with a cargo hold. Both of these buses have been equipped with new DVD players with monitors and new sound systems. Anyone interested in driving one of these buses is required to possess a class B license and to be included in the random drug and alcohol test pool. Learn How to Get a Class B License (PDF).

Rental Vans

Transportation Services manages a fleet of 8-, 11-, and 12-passenger vans for use by the APU community. By state law, all 11- and 12-passenger van drivers are required to possess a class B license. Drivers of the 8-passenger vans are required to possess a class C license.

Vehicle Reservation Request

The Vehicle Reservation Request is available in the University Services/Transportation Services public folder or via the link below. All vehicle requests should be made by hardcopy and delivered to Transportation Services in person, via intra-campus mail, or may be faxed to (626) 815-3880. All reservation requests must be filled out completely with the driver’s name, dates, destination, account number, department, contact name, and phone number. Transportation Services will contact the department to confirm after receiving the request. For fairness to all users, requests are only accepted up to 11 months in advance.
