Student Spotlight: A Heart to Serve: Abigail Tam ’26 Excels in Nursing and Honors Humanities

Abigail Tam is a junior nursing and honors humanities major with a heart for serving the Lord and embracing diversity. Her experience spending her teenage years in Lebanon doing missionary work with her family instilled a desire to minister to others through her love for nursing. Being in honors allows Tam to engage in rich discussions and learn more about human nature.
APU Receives $900,000 Research Grant to Help K-12 Decision Makers

Azusa Pacific University received a $900,000 grant in partnership with Northwestern University and the University of Chicago from the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences (IES) with Kaitlyn G. Fitzgerald, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, and Statistics, as a co-principal investigator.

As a social worker, she has experience helping a variety of people, from adults struggling with mental health disorders, to families battling cancer. She is the chair of APU’s MSW program, and strives to teach students how to ethically and lovingly care for others.
