Adapted Physical Education Added Authorization
This is a secondary authorization that enables the physical education teacher to teach students ranging from preschool through adult school, conduct assessments, and report findings through the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process.
Athletic Training, M.S.
The Master of Science in Athletic Training is a full-time residency program that prepares students for successful completion of the national Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) examination and for careers in athletic training.

Child life specialists are allied healthcare professionals who support children and their families facing challenging experiences, particularly traumatic medical situations. Azusa Pacific University’s Master of Science in Child Life program prepares men and women for this special role.
Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.)
This practitioner-scholar program combines science and practice, preparing individuals to practice as psychologists. The Psy.D. program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and meets California licensure requirements.
Clinical Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy, M.A. (MFT)
Theory and hands-on practice prepares counselors to work with individuals, couples, and families by integrating ethics and psychotherapy. The program meets California licensure requirements.
College Counseling and Student Development, M.S.
This program has a rich history of more than 40 years, and its balance of theory and practice prepares graduates for the exciting and ever-changing field of working with today's college students. This cohort-based program can be completed on site in Azusa in two years of internships and coursework. The culminating capstone experience allows students to synthesize their new knowledge for their professional application—for those new to the field and those seeking professional advancement.
Doctoral-Level Certificate in Strengths-Oriented Higher Education
The Doctoral-Level Certificate in Strengths-Oriented Higher Education is designed for educators and leaders who already have a master’s degree and wish to deepen their knowledge and application of a strengths development model to their work in higher education.
Higher Education Leadership, Ed.D.
Qualifies graduates for leadership roles in colleges and universities, especially in student development, academic support, and institutional administration. This is a three-year, 51-unit, cohort-based program offered on the Azusa campus for one week each June and nine weekends a year (Fridays and Saturdays).Azusa (main campus) and Low Residency only
Higher Education, Ph.D.
The Ph.D. in Higher Education develops scholars who are able to conduct original research and interpret and communicate the results of that research through their writing, teaching, and leadership. This interdisciplinary, intercultural, international program hones leadership skills through experiential study of organizational life and action research.

Azusa Pacific’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program equips social work professionals for careers dedicated to improving the lives of others in a variety of settings, including advanced-level practitioners, clinicians, supervisors, and managers, as well as leadership roles in community and program development. Physical Education, M.A., and Single Subject Teaching Credential
Build the skills needed to teach physical education and coach at the K-12, junior college, and four-year university levels. Coursework covers advanced topics in physical education, ranging from sociological and ethical issues, to leadership and administration. Physical Therapy Postprofessional Clinical Fellowship in Movement and Performance
This fellowship offers clinical training of physical therapists to accelerate their professional development in becoming highly skilled patient-care providers, resources, educators, and mentors to others in the communities they serve, as well as competent consumers of and contributors to the scientific literature.
Physical Therapy, DPT
Emphasizes the scientific basis of human structure and movement, the spiritual basis of human worth, and the integration of these elements into a comprehensive approach to evaluation and treatment. Graduates gain a solid generalist perspective of patient care in a variety of professional treatment settings.
Rehabilitation and Movement Science, Ph.D.
The Ph.D. in Rehabilitation and Movement Science program prepares leaders to improve health and rehabilitation outcomes through research and education. This hybrid Ph.D. program is completed primarily online, with two, one-week sessions on campus per year.
Research Psychology and Data Analysis, M.S.
The Master of Science in Research Psychology and Data Analysis program prepares students with the advanced skills and experiences to be competitive for doctoral programs and pursue careers in psychological research. Work one-on-one with faculty research advisors in a number of psychology-related areas, including substance abuse, social, clinical, cognitive, and more.
This program offers the following areas of study: Data Analytics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Marketing Research.
Substance Use Disorders Certificate
For individuals with an MFT degree, the Substance Use Disorders certificate allows you to expand your skills and establish a competency that historically has only been afforded to those working in the substance use disorders field. As primary care physicians, mental health providers, and substance use providers coalesce into whole person care, you will be a part of cutting-edge treatment.
