The accounting major surveys the principles, theories, and concepts of the accounting profession while providing an intense review of the economic, quantitative, and managerial aspects of business.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Designed for working professionals, the BBA degree completion program equips you with the leadership and analytical skills needed to lead change in today’s business world. Relevant coursework and real-world projects guided by faculty with business experience allow you to immediately apply learning at work.

This program offers the following areas of study: Accounting, Government Financial Accounting, Human Resource Development, Leading Teams and People, Marketing and Digital Media, Public Administration, and Supply Chain Management.

Business Administration Minor (Bachelor’s Completion)

Equip yourself with an understanding of current issues in business as you integrate real-world work experiences and hands-on projects. This program can be taken only in conjunction with one of APU’s bachelor’s completion programs.

Business Analytics Major

This program equips students to use data science and data analytics to make wise business decisions, and gives them a chance to focus their studies on accounting, economics, finance, or marketing.

This program offers the following areas of study: Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Marketing.

Business Analytics Minor

The program is for students seeking expertise in data science and data analytics with a specialization in the field of business, teaching them how to analyze large quantities of data and discover value-oriented insights across a wide range of data-rich business domains (accounting, economics, finance, marketing, human resource management, and supply chain management).

Business Economics Major

The business economics major provides students analytical skills built on a strong general business foundation. This major focuses on business management responsibilities and the improvement in business decision making that comes from a deeper understanding of the economic environment of business.

Business Management Major

This degree develops competence in conceptual, human, and technical skills necessary to enter into both public- and private-sector organizations.

Digital Marketing and Design Major

This program prepares individuals to succeed in the digital marketing space and in social media marketing.

Economics Minor

Learn about the primary areas of the economics discipline—supply and demand, marketplace competition, the effects of policy changes, and more—and equip yourself with an understanding of the basics of economic behavior.

Entrepreneurship Major

This major equips students with the basic principles of entrepreneurship and innovation, preparing them for the 21st-century business world.

Entrepreneurship Minor

Gain a solid understanding of multiple business disciplines, including management, finance, marketing, accounting, and economics, and how to formulate business solutions that are innovative, effective, and ethical.

Finance Major

This program aims to equip students with the theoretical understanding and practical skills necessary to evaluate and direct decisions regarding the allocation of financial resources.

Finance Minor

Learn how to engage in the effective, ethical stewardship of the financial resources of individuals, corporations, or financial institutions.

Foundations of Business (MBA Prep) Minor

This minor is for non-business students who are interested in pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree after completing their bachelor’s program, teaching them the key concepts and skills, both analytical and relational, to be successful managers and leaders in business and society.

Foundations of Management (MBM Prep) Minor

This minor is for non-business students who are interested in pursuing a Master of Business Management (MBM) degree after completing their bachelor’s program, preparing them to become managers and leaders who effectively motivate employees, improve job performance, guide their organizations to invest in their workforce, and recruit and retain the right individuals. 

Human Resources Minor

This program equips students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles and practices of managing human capital within an organization, giving them the knowledge and skills needed to effectively recruit, develop, and retain employees, and to navigate the complex legal and ethical considerations associated with employment.

Human Resources and Organizational Development Major

This interdisciplinary program prepares students for careers in the growing field of human resources, equipping them with skills in managing benefits and policies, designing and leading employee training and development programs, and managing employee relations.

International Business Major

This major equips students to think critically and analytically in business, politics, and cultural interrelationships. Students learn how to survey the dynamics of an interdependent global business environment and solve complex problems in a wide variety of organizational settings.

International Business Minor

Prepare for careers in the dynamic and interdependent global business environment with this program that incorporates a collaborative approach to the study of business, international management, strategic positioning, international trade, macroeconomics, and politics.

Leadership Minor

Master of Professional Accountancy (MAcc)

The Master of Professional Accountancy degree is designed to equip ethical leaders in the financial fields. The master’s degree in accounting emphasizes preparation for the CPA exam and real-world experience through internships and job placement for graduates. This full-time, intensive program for recent graduates allows students to complete an advanced degree in just one year.

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

The Master of Public Administration degree equips those with a call to public service for leadership and management positions in the public sector, health services, social services, nonprofits, education, and more.
