Student Handbook: A Faith and Living Community
Supporting the Holistic Development of APU Students
Those who live and learn together at Azusa Pacific form the fabric of our Christ-centered university community. We are called to honor God in our daily life choices and respect those around us as we live, work, and study on campus.
It is important that each student develop a living and learning style that is consistent with the Christian standards of Azusa Pacific, contributing to an environment that is respectful of individual rights, freedoms, and responsibilities, conducive to academic excellence, and glorifying to God. All APU students are responsible for reading and adhering to all university policies and procedures related to living and learning at APU, as outlined on this site and in the academic catalog. Students are also encouraged to hold one another accountable, to foster personal growth and development.
Failure to comply with community expectations or university policy will result in disciplinary measures. Each student is responsible for his/her actions and must cooperate with any conduct violation investigation. Those who are aware of misconduct are encouraged to report it promptly to the offices of Human Resources, Student Life, Residence Life, and Commuter Services, and/or the Department of Campus Safety. The accountability process is respectful and redemptive, helping students develop a living and learning style consistent with APU’s Christian standards. All alleged violations are reviewed through “educational meetings” with students, not through efforts intended to mimic court or legal proceedings.
