Writing, Speaking, and Tutoring Center

At APU’s Writing and Tutoring Center, we strive to empower our peer leaders and students to become confident, effective, and independent learners through the use of research-based learning strategies. We offer free, one-on-one or group assistance in writing, speaking, and tutoring for specific courses.

Writing

Support is available to students (undergraduate through doctoral), faculty, and staff across APU’s campuses, including regional locations for any writing project, at any stage of the process.

Speaking

Polish your public speaking, presentation writing, and delivery.

Tutoring

Course-specific, one-on-one peer tutoring support for a variety of subjects. Specific subject areas may change each semester based on student demand and the availability of qualified peer tutors; review the list of courses available for tutoring services. Complete the Tutoring Course Request Form if you need tutoring support for a course not offered.

Each semester, specific courses are preapproved for drop-in tutoring at weekly meeting times for group sessions with a designated tutor. View the drop-in tutoring courses schedule.
