Erin McCoy, MLIS, MA

Erin McCoy, MA, MLIS, serves as an Information Literacy Librarian at Azusa Pacific University. With extensive experience in both public and Christian higher education contexts, she specializes in information literacy instruction, curriculum integration, and student-centered learning. Prior to APU, Erin served as Coordinator of Library Services and Reference and Instruction Librarian at Massasoit Community College, as well as Librarian for Instruction and Digital Media at Eastern Nazarene College. Grounded in learning theory, the ACRL Framework, and reflective practice, Erin's teaching focuses on inquiry-based and metacognitive pedagogy to support students throughout the full research process. Her scholarly interests and publications focus on metacognition in information literacy, open educational resources (OER), and user-centered digital access tools. She is also active in professional service as an active member of the Association of Christian Librarians and facilitating the annual meeting for the Wesleyan Holiness Digital Library Consortium.
