Biography

Jose Hernandez Vicente, MM, is a professional guitarist and educator from Salamanca, Spain. He began touring and recording professionally at age 17. In 2003 he moved to Los Angeles, and in 2020 obtained his Master of Music in Performance from APU, studying under Michael Kozubek, MM. As a performer, he has 20 years of international touring experience in diverse commercial styles for various artists and his band, Sonsoles. He has also performed with Spanish rock bands Mana and Mikel Erentxun, and is the guitarist for Mexican pop star Sofía Reyes. In the world of elearning, he worked for Music Prodigy, developing educational apps such as Rock Prodigy, Music Prodigy, Choir Prodigy, and the apps for artists Keith Urban, Megadeth, The Offspring, the Grateful Dead, and No Doubt. He has taught guitar for more than 25 years to students at all levels, including Mana’s guitarist, Sergio Vallin. He has also taught at Orange County School of the Arts and California School of the Arts-San Gabriel Valley.
