Criteria
Undergraduate students must:
- Have completed half of the nursing curriculum
- Rank in upper 35 percentile of class
- Have at least a GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 grading scale)
- Meet the expectation of academic integrity
RN students must:
- Have completed 12 credit hours at current school
- Have completed half of the nursing curriculum
- Rank in upper 35 percentile of class
- Have at least a GPA of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 grading scale)
- Meet the expectation of academic integrity
Graduate students (master’s and doctoral) must:
- Have completed a fourth of the nursing curriculum
- Have at GPA of at least of 3.5 (on a 4.0 grading scale)
- Meet the expectation of academic integrity
Nurse leaders must:
- Be a registered nurse and legally recognized to practice in his/her country
- Hold at least a baccalaureate degree in nursing or other related field
- Have demonstrated achievement in nursing

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a nurse qualify for membership after graduation?
People with at least a baccalaureate degree and demonstrated achievement in nursing may apply for membership as a nurse leader. Degrees are expected to be in nursing, but a baccalaureate degree in a related field is acceptable.
Are RNs eligible for membership if they have graduated from an associate degree or diploma program?
RNs are eligible only if they have also earned a baccalaureate degree.
