Summer Bridge Program

Preparing First-Gen Students Like You for a Strong College Start

The Summer Bridge Program at Azusa Pacific University is a FREE 5-week program that prepares a select group of first-generation college students majoring in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, allied health, math, computer science, engineering, physics, or kinesiology.

Important Dates

  • Move-In: Sunday, June 7, 2026
  • Summer Bridge Courses: June 8-July 9, 2026 (no classes Friday, July 3)
  • Closing Ceremony/Move-Out: Thursday, July 9, 2026

Your Summer Bridge Experience

  • Enroll in MATH 95 Intermediate Algebra and ETHN 150 Intro to Ethnic Studies
  • Live on campus during the program
  • Includes textbooks and food (based on the dining hall schedule)
  • Receive a $500 stipend upon completion of the program

Requirements

All program participants must:

  • Major in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, allied health, math, computer science, engineering, physics, or kinesiology
  • Be first-generation students
  • Have been accepted to Azusa Pacific University
  • Have paid their enrollment deposit
  • Submit a Summer Bridge application
