Shanyce Nicole Moore, MSN, MN, BS, RN, began her nursing journey in 2017 in adult medical-surgical care. After two years working with adult patients, she transitioned into pediatric nursing at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. She currently serves as in-house registry personnel, floating across multiple units throughout the children's hospital, with her foundational pediatric experience established as a staff nurse in the Step-Down ICU.
Moore’s passion for teaching emerged while serving as a preceptor at LLUCH, where she enjoyed mentoring new nurses and welcoming them into the profession. Inspired by the moments when students made meaningful connections in their learning, she began teaching clinicals in the fall of 2023 and has since grown into a full-time faculty role at Azusa Pacific University.
Moore believes that while students can learn from her experience, teaching is a reciprocal journey. She values the opportunity to learn from her students as well, continually refining her practice as an educator. Her goal is to help students not only develop their nursing skills but also discover and sustain the confidence already within them as they step into their calling as nurses.
