What is City Links?
City Links is a one-day service experience within the local community for all first-year students at Azusa Pacific University. This experience builds community within each Alpha Group and introduces students to the local community that will become home during their APU experience.
City Links aims to build relationships among first-year students and those who live, learn, work, and grow up in the city of Azusa and surrounding communities. This celebration of ongoing service joins Azusa Pacific University, the city of Azusa, and surrounding communities in service alongside one another. Working with faith communities, schools, parks, and nonprofit organizations, students and community members take action to promote a common care for our neighborhoods.
Working with churches and local organizations, students will serve over the course of three Saturdays that introduce them to the city of Azusa and surrounding communities. The Office of Orientation and Transitions facilitates the student participation through Beginnings, the first-year seminar class for incoming students. This renewed annual tradition highlights the consistent collaboration among the APU student body and the broader local community.
City Links 2017-18 is scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 2017. Specific assignments will be communicated through your Alpha leader in collaboration with the Office of Orientation and Transitions. Should you have any questions, please contact one of the coordinators listed below.

Preparing for the Day of Service
- Expect great things! Be ready to learn and serve!
- Wear a T-shirt, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and sunscreen.
- Bring a large water bottle.
- Eat a healthy breakfast before you come.
