Four local foundations were represented on campus on Monday, March 11, for the annual Foundation Appreciation Luncheon hosted by the Office of University Advancement. Representatives from the GenCorp Foundation , Magic Johnson Foundation, James L. Stamps Foundation, and the TELACU Education Foundation attended a luncheon to honor foundations that grant scholarships to APU students each year.

More than 20 students attended the luncheon and met the foundation representatives who helped support their education this academic year. Junior Chris Neal, a Biblical Studies and Business major, opened the luncheon with prayer. President Wallace interviewed Johanna Obando ’01, a nursing graduate, about the impact scholarship dollars made while she was struggling financially as a student.

These foundations join with many other foundations and individual donors each year to help support the APU University Fund. The University Fund distributes over $10 million in scholarships to Azusa Pacific University students each year.
