Biography
Candice Williams, PhD, is an assistant professor and the chair of the Department of Criminal Justice at Azusa Pacific University. Williams’ background spans the field of Sociology, African American Studies, Psychology, and Criminal Justice. Her current interest is in advancing an evidence-based approach in the development of school policies that addresses interpersonal violence on college and university campuses. Drawing on a broad range of experience including research on the intersectionality of race, class, and gender, STDs and HIV among communities of color, and victimology, Williams has a true passion of addressing injustices that are affecting a variety of communities.
