Biography
Kevin Sheng-Lin Huang, PhD, did his undergraduate studies at UC Irvine and earned his doctorate from UC Davis. Afterwards, Huang moved to the east coast and pursued a postdoctoral research in the area of bio-organic chemistry at Yale University. At APU, Huang teaches organic chemistry courses and leads an active undergraduate research program. Students in the Huang research group employ modern organic techniques in synthesizing novel heterocycles and evaluate their biological activity using biochemical assays. Huang utilizes team-based learning pedagogical approaches in facilitating students to learn and appreciate chemical science.
