The Division of Teacher Education offers the following undergraduate programs:
Liberal Studies Major
The Liberal Studies major provides future teacher candidates planning to be elementary school teachers with a broad knowledge base, making it possible to teach subjects up to a basic ninth-grade level.
This program offers the following areas of study: Adaptive Physical Education, Art, English, Math, Music, Physical Education, Psychology, Science I (Life or Biological Science), Science II (Physics or Physical Science), Social Science, Spanish, and Special Education.
Liberal Studies Minor
The liberal studies minor consists of 22-23 units in a multidisciplinary program that offers elementary subject matter preparation along with practical field experience. The program provides students an understanding of the impact of culture on education in addition to varied opportunities to gain the skills needed to serve in today's educational world.
