Biography
Bill Cantos, MM, has worked live and in-studio as keyboardist, vocalist, arranger, songwriter, and producer, encompassing projects by Elton John, Leon Russell, Josh Groban, Tony Bennett, Barry Manilow, Bob Dylan, Brian Bromberg, Deniece Williams, Lillias White, Jon Bellion, Freddie Hubbard, Johnny Mandel, Cy Coleman, Andrae Crouch, and Kirk Whalum.
His songs have been recorded by Ramsey Lewis, Lea Salonga, Patti Austin, Brenda Russell, Cheryl Bentyne, Clay Crosse, Helen Baylor, and Mark Winkler. He wrote with Alan and Marilyn Bergman and Mari Falcone on the musical Chasing Mem'ries.
Bill tours regularly with Herb Alpert and Lani Hall, performs with Burt Bacharach, and was a backing vocalist on three world tours with Phil Collins. He has sung on the soundtrack of over 60 films including Frozen 2, Sing, Star Wars: Rogue One, WALL-E, Rio, and Mulan (2020); worked with some of Brazil’s best-known artists including Dori Caymmi, Sergio Mendes, Flora Purim, Airto Moreira, and Gal Costa; and released six albums as a solo artist.
