ANGELES WORSHIP SUMMIT 2025 RECAP

The Angeles Worship Summit (AWS) was an annual, intergenerational one-day gathering hosted at APU, taking place from 2020 to 2025, with a focus on shaping The Future of Christian Worship and the Church. Championing intergenerational artistic ministry, it successfully brought together over 650 participants from more than 200 churches for robust peer-learning. AWS integrated panels and workshops led by esteemed authors and ministry leaders, providing helpful methodologies and practical instruction for vocational clarity in Christian worship. This archive celebrates the legacy of mutuality in ministry, fostered through discussions, and equips creative ministry leaders to serve their faith communities with excellence, grounded in APU's Christian mission.

WORSHIP ARTS LAB 2025 RECAP

The Worship Arts Lab (WAL) was a premier five-day, overnight training camp successfully hosted on the Azusa Pacific University campus for the past six years. This unique program immersed youth (junior high/high school students) and their adult mentors in the APU college experience, delivering rich theological and practical training aligned with APU’s Christian mission.

Over its run, WAL cumulatively gathered over 200 participants, focusing intently on youth agency, intergenerational worship, and holistic artistic development. It was a critical space for theological formation, challenging students to engage with concepts of worship design, musicianship, collaborative leadership, and artistic craftsmanship. Spiritual growth was foundational, ensuring participants developed their gifts with vocational clarity and excellence.

A dedicated adult mentor track facilitated the sharing of emerging themes and innovative models for youth ministry. Crucially, the experience proved transformative, empowering participants to lead worship or significantly strengthen their serving roles in their church communities. WAL’s enduring legacy continues to inspire thoughtful, skilled young artists committed to advancing God's work in the world, reflecting the crucial feedback gathered on identity formation and the value of the Church.

AWI REVIVE 2024

REVIVE was a unique, one-day gathering hosted on the APU campus, designed for anyone passionate about the heart of God and pursuing a deeper spiritual formation. This transformative event centered on achieving the biblical call to Oneness, a fundamental shared identity in Christ where diverse expressions and gifts flourish.

A significant highlight of REVIVE was the Revive | Homecoming Worship Experience. At this powerful, multi-university gathering, students from Westmont, Life Pacific University, Biola, and APU led attendees in worship as one body in Christ. Throughout the day, attendees practiced intentional spiritual exercises, including a Prayer Intensive (prayer walk, meditation, and intercession) and a "SOAK" session dedicated to prophetic prayer and praise. REVIVE provided a crucial time of spiritual renewal and community, equipping worship leaders, students, and church members to advance God's work in the world with renewed focus and clarity.
