What Will We Do?

Meet for worship with like-minded individuals who are interested in serving the Church with their artistic gifts.
Hear from guest speakers who are leaders and experts in worship ministry. These are wise and gifted individuals who love to share what they have learned along the way. And they are just fun people to hang out with.
Gain theological tools for reflection and personal formation. The program is full of opportunities to develop artistic imagination, biblical literacy, and meaningful community.
Take an active role in worship leadership by participating in the program’s concluding event: Worship Showcase. Students design and lead a 15-minute worship gathering, get valuable feedback, and participate in a special collective showcase in celebration of our time together.

Who Can Attend?

Youth in grades 7-12 and their adult mentors are invited. This experience supports and develops young artists and adult mentors who are interested in developing their craft and learning more about worship leadership.

Why the Worship Arts Lab?

We believe in the tremendous creativity and leadership ability of youth. We also understand that worship can be meaningful and powerful. In light of this, there is a great need for thoughtful, discerning young leaders who are willing to bring imagination and artistic skill to worship.
The Worship Arts Lab provides the space and time needed to hone artistic abilities and develop theological perspective. Through lab group Scripture study and intentional times for quiet devotion and prayer, youth engage in deep reflection, gaining richer insights into the nature of God and the worshiping community. This intentional environment fosters a creative imagination rooted in faith, allowing students to connect their artistic gifts with their spiritual journey.
The Worship Arts Lab equips students and teams with the technical and theological tools necessary for local church worship ministry. Through intensive craftsmanship and musicianship workshops, participants integrate artistic excellence with biblical literacy and thoughtful worship design. This holistic approach provides teenagers with practical ministry frameworks they can immediately implement in their home congregations.
Innovation in worship begins with a shift from traditional instruction toward relational discipleship. Research shows that intergenerational mentoring is the most effective way to foster long-term faith commitment, bridging the gap between technical artistry and spiritual identity. The Worship Arts Lab serves as this bridge, providing a specialized environment where students and mentors deepen their vocational clarity. By prioritizing these relational frameworks, we are innovating the future of worship through the holistic development of the next generation of faith leaders.
