Student Affairs
Thrive at APU
At Azusa Pacific University, our Student Affairs team of Christ-centered educators believes in the holistic development of all students. Our hope is that learning extends beyond the classroom into all areas of students’ lives as they strive to become the person God has called them to be.
Through a variety of services and programs, we are dedicated to creating environments and experiences that encourage students throughout their journey to develop a commitment to lifelong learning in the areas of Christian spiritual formation, student engagement, and student wellness. Our desire is for each student to develop a deeper understanding of their identity, faith, academic goals, and vocational pursuits, and to become a difference maker who will impact their communities for Christ.
Three Pillars of Student Development
We believe that the life-changing good news of Jesus Christ is both an eternal promise and an invitation to be part of God’s work in the world now. In classrooms and residence halls, on the field and in chapel, and around the world and across the street, we are engaging all students in the personal and collective process of being formed in the image of Christ for the sake of others.1 We foster students’ spiritual development by providing opportunities to participate in corporate worship, local and global service, Christian formation, and spiritual care.
