Make a Global Impact
APU’s Bachelor of Science in International Business prepares students for global enterprise. The international business major provides a solid foundation in core business competencies including accounting, economics, finance, culture, and marketing, which then serve as a framework for in-depth study of international business, international finance, international marketing management, and comparative economics.
Nathan Lewis ’17 is a senior international business major at Azusa Pacific University. During his time at APU, Nathan’s study away experiences helped him understand his purpose.
The program offers students opportunities to study across the United States and overseas, learn a foreign language, and gain valuable experience working an international internship, all of which allow for practical application of classroom knowledge. Over the years, the School of Business and Management has organized trips to Washington, DC, New York City, and 56 countries on 6 continents, including the following:
- Czech Republic
- South Africa
- United Arab Emirates
Gain In-depth Learning Experience
The program features the International Business Institute, whereby students journey to Europe and Asia for a summer of intensive study and travel. In addition, students can take advantage of internship opportunities available locally and internationally.
Students also complete an import/export practicum in which they create a one-semester mini-business importing and selling a product of their choosing. International business majors leave APU ready to guide a business through the complex global marketplace.
