Miller Analogies Test
The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) has been used by universities worldwide to test the analytical skills of graduate school candidates for more than 50 years.
Taking the MAT
Follow the steps below to take the MAT at APU’s Learning Enrichment Center. You do not have to be an APU student to take the MAT at the Learning Enrichment Center:
Schedule your exam and pay the proctoring fee using the Learning Enrichment Center scheduling portal. The $30 proctoring fee (nonrefundable, nontransferable) is in addition to the $60 MAT exam fee that you will pay at the LEC on the day of your exam. Your appointment is not confirmed until the proctoring fee is paid. If you do not pay your proctoring fee within 3 days of your appointment, your appointment may be cancelled.
Use these resources to prepare for the MAT.
On your test day, if you are driving onto campus without a parking decal, go to Campus Safety, located in Adams Hall, to obtain a visitor’s parking pass. The Learning Enrichment Center is just east of the Campus Safety office. Plan on being at the Learning Enrichment Center for about 1½ hours.
Bring two forms of identification: an unexpired driver’s license, passport, or government-issued identification card AND a library card, student ID card, credit card, or utility bill showing the same name and address as your driver’s license, passport, or government-issued ID card.
Bring with you the address or score recipient code for where you want your MAT score report(s) sent. After you have completed your MAT, the LEC will provide you with a preliminary score report. The official score report will be sent to your designated score recipient(s) about 2-3 weeks after your exam date.
