Biography

Dr. Lino Gomez is a Senior Adjunct Instructor in the School of Education at Azusa Pacific University. Dr. Gomez earned his PsyD. in Educational Psychology from Alliant International University. Dr. Gomez has served as a district lead bilingual school psychologist, educational consultant, and veteran school site administrator overseeing instruction, intervention, and college and career readiness initiatives. His focus is on equipping school counselors and psychologists to be impactful educators to support the needs of all students through a diversity, equity, and inclusive perspective. Real-time/case based scenarios are themes Dr. Gomez focuses on to better equip future school counselors and psychologists for the realities of public K-12. School counselors and psychologists play a critical role to support student mental and emotional health, resiliency, and academic success. Born in Durango, Dgo, Mexico, Dr. Gomez was a first generation college student and English learner who seeks to build capacity and agency for all students.
